DESCRIPTION: This is one of the most beautiful non-portable awards of the Third Reich. It was given to persons who were to be honored. for their part in the development of the world's first super Highway. It was unfortunately not given to those who worked with the pick and shovel although they probably deserved it. Rather, it was presented to those engineers and architects who were most closely associated with the planning and the installation of the “Hitler Highway.”  This is a large award for the completion of 2000 kilometers of the German autobahn. It is about 5 inches long (110 mm) and 3 inches wide. High quality nickel-silver alloy with separately applied nickel silver eagle and swastika device and winged wheel below. In the center the design is what has been described as a divided highway. This is in red glass cloisonné enamel and with silver lettering. It proclaims "Reichsautobahn 2000 km."  The reverse is darkly toned with natural tarnish and shows that sterling-like Rainbow patina common to genuine Silver. It has three sunken rivets on the back and has the signature or mark of the greatest insignia maker in Third Reich Germany, Deschler & Sohn, Munchen. It has a slightly vaulted concave construction. This in our estimation is a prodigiously important piece of profound historical importance and artistically beautiful to boot! Remember, this was the world’s first super expressway and a grand accomplishment of the Third Reich of Adolf Hitler.

DESCRIPTION: This is the award just like the one above at NSD 18-1. The description is the same except for the fact that this one is in gold color instead of red. The purpose was also the same. It is commonly known that 3rd Reich awards were invariably presented in various classes; obviously the gold class was considered a greater achievement level in most badges of the Reich. This would hardly be an exception as there were various aspects of planning, labor, layout, etc. in the development of this, the world's first super highway. Note that instead of the red enamel banners running around the edges we now have black edges that bring out the golden elegance of this award. We have called the previous one above a prodigiously important piece that is of profound historical importance and we stated it is beautiful to boot! Well of course that goes for this one as well and, we pointed out that this autobahn was one of the grand accomplishments of Hitler’s Third Reich.

DESCRIPTION: “Deutsche in Aller Welt” -- Germans in the All the World. This is a calendar published by the Volksbund for Das Deutschtum in Ausland (organization for Germans who live outside the Reich). In the African colonies, Rumania, Sudetenland, Hungary, Danzig, New York, interesting picture of a German farm in Minnesota. The calendar is 7" x 10" in measurement. Most of the pictures are full page; it has about 63 pages of beautiful clear pictures in wonderful black and white. No pages are missing and it runs from January 1st right up to December 31, 1940. DESCRIPTION: This was produced to commemorate the history of Sontheim on the occasion of its corporation into the district free city of Heilbrunn-Necker and it was dedicated to Herr Karl Feucht of the council in Sontheim on September 30th 1938 with the original signatures of the mayor, the assistant mayor and aldermen. It is on fine parchment hand done in the most beautiful calligraphy and signed by a certain Herr Von Hammel who did the art work. The box is lined with linen and it is probable that it once had a top but that is missing if it had one at all. When the double flaps containing a Hitler quote is opened you see the parchment document when this is lifted there lays within 23 photos 18 cm x 13 cm from various places within Sontheim. For the collector who appreciates art and social history of the 3rd Reich this is a particularly rare and beautiful addition to an important collection.  The box measures in inches 10 x 13 and is 2 inches deep in very nice condition. The words of Adolf Hitler that are on the opening flaps are translated as follows:  “History is not made by weaklings nor neutrals but by people who are not afraid to fight!”  If only there were more people who would fit into the latter category.

DESCRIPTION: This in our opinion is one of the neatest books of Third Reich history ever printed. The cover is a thing of rare beauty with the stylized eagle with the Hakenkreutzfahne superimposed over it... the silver and red tones are awesome! The book is one of the titles that we were able to purchase at the Frankfurt A.M. Book Fair a few years ago. This was the greatest offering of 3rd Reich books ever offered thence or since. There were very rare titles and books from the libraries of Goebbels, Heydrich, Goring and even a few from the library of Adolf Hitler himself. Amongst the books we purchased were quite a few from the Oberbayern SS totenkopf Standarte. All the ones from this mountain Death head group had the book plate with the leering skull with a swastika background.  It is believed that this book plate (Ex Libris) was designed by Professor Carl Diebitsch. It certainly seems to demonstrate his artistic touch. This is a massive coffee table type book measuring 9 x 12 and  1 ¼ inches thick. 399 pages with hundreds of sharp B & W photos. (200 in all) The book progresses from the year 1648 with the war against the Swedes, progressing along through the war against Napoleon up through the Franco-Prussian War, WWI with pictures and stories and pictures of the Kaiser, Bismarck, and the war heroes including the Red Baron Manfred v. Richtoffen, Graff Von Schlieffen, Graf Zepplin, and the horrible Versailles Treaty, the inflation, the Communist attempted coup, the Free Corps, and then half the book turns to the struggles of the National Socialist German Workers Party and the advent of Adolf Hitler. Here are the greatest and finest of pictures presented in wonderful succession - -struggle, battle ,victory, celebrations, heroes, martyrs, leaders, and super pictures of the members of the SA, SS, Arbeitsdienste, the early mobilization of the Army (Wehrmacht), really nothing is missing. This is a concise history of the “Bewegung” (Movement). This is truly a treasure of a book on its own and even more so considering where it comes from. Probably worth many times more than our asking price. A collectable archive for sure.

DESCRIPTION: This is a premier book highly sought after by N.S. collectors and rare book collectors world wide. It is probably the best pictorial chronology of the Third Reich ever produced. 432 pages of tantalizing historic text and hundreds of brilliant black and white photos fill the pages of this prodigiously important volume. DESCRIPTION: This is a grouping of books from different sections of the Party and organizations, some have pictures, some do not, all are important to the history of the Third Reich.

No. 1 HJ Kampf und Siegt (Hitler Youth) in struggle and victory, 24 pages maps, sports, poems, and interestingly it has the words and musical notes for the song “Nun Pfeifts Von Allen Dachern."  It sings from all the rooftops -- this was a fighting song of the SA Stormtroops. It is stamped printed in Germany and was sent to the German American Bund in Buffalo, New York in 1938.  

No. 2 DeinVolk Ruff Dich! (Your people call you!) Filled with text, pictures, and maps. 

No. 3 Wille und Macht (Will and Strength!) This was the Hitler Youth leaders Magazine -- maps, zones, pictures. It is stamped printed in Germany (sent to German American Bund in Buffalo, New York in 1938. This one has a pictorial section showing several N.S. buildings that were built in the 3rd Reich including the mountain troop Kaserne at Sonthofen. 

No 4 Kolumbus Entlardt published in 1936. A very interesting book that confirms that the Nordic people (Vikings) discovered an America long before Christopher Columbus and why certain of the‘Weltfiend” feel it is so important to continually insert the lies and distortions. Many maps and Icelandic runic charts.  

No 5 The Deutsche Freikorps an Memel und Duna published by the HJ Kameradadschaft in 1938 -- it has maps and illustrations dealing with the re-seizure of the ancient Germanic lands by the free corps in the east.  Has many maps and the history of these patriotic soldiers of the Reich. Stamped printed in Germany and was sent to The German American bund chapter in Buffalo, New York in 1938.

DESCRIPTION: This is an accurate facsimile of a political broadside that was distributed on patriotic occasions during the “Kampfzeit” (the struggle for power) 1932, the year before Hitler's ascension to head of state (Fuhrer). It was an appeal for the German people to awaken all that was positive in National Socialism in difference to the shame of such obsentaties as the Versailles Treaty, reparation demands, and revolution, usury, government oppression, etc. It has at its top the proud eagle of the Hohenzollern Dynasty (1914). The next 1918 shows the mean spirited eagle superimposed over the cap of the Bolshevik Revolutionaries. In 1923 the eagle takes on the figure of usury and foreign control and influence. In 1931, police brutality against the National Socialists but in 1932 the proud German eagle stands ready to take his place in the “New Order” as the sun wheel swastika looms in the horizon behind him. We do not normally deal in reproductions, but in this case it is just a great item with much historic significance and we wish to share it with our customers.
