A Pontoon Bridge with German Cavalry (Item MOD 1-1)

DESCRIPTION: Again we must say Germania is not known for handling newer items or reproductions.  But as historians are wont to do we sometimes just can’t resist buying an article once in awhile that simply ‘dazzles’ us. The miniature military figures produced by a company known as “King and County ‘produces the very finest of these figures. The detail and historical accuracy is nothing short of astounding! There is absolutely no comparison with the efforts by other companies who handle military models. The interesting thing about this company is that all their figures are limited!! -- once a few are sold of any model the item or grouping is discontinued. And ‘retired’. This pontoon group is a good example, it has been long retired. And so have the Wehrmacht cavalry figures that we offer with the bridge. This set would be unavailable from the company and we have only the one set. After it is sold another could not be found anywhere as far as we know. So, this is not only a beautiful action set but it is extremely rare and never again will be produced. There are active collectors advertising to buy any of the cavalry figures and are offering as much as $125.00 per figure but there have been no takers and we will sell this group as a set only. Please understand that after you invest in this wonderful grouping they will continue to go up in value. “Probably in leaps and bounds”. There are five mounted cavalry troopers each completely different from the others. They are crossing a pontoon bridge that would have been erected by the German army engineers. The bridge is in three sections with railngs and this can be seen in our pictures. Every soldiers uniform is different and their faces all are unique as well.  All weapons and equipment are accurate and the horses are vividly realistic. The bridge when assembled is 24 inches by 4 inches wide. The pontoons are seven inches long.  The figures on horse are about 3 ½ inches high and the horse measurements are about 4 inches long each. What we have here is one of the most popular models that King and Country ever made and now the absolutely most sought after of all of them. The price we offer to sell this group at is probably far lower than K &C collectors would pay, but model soldiers are not our primary business, and as we noted we are handling this only because it was too neat to pass up about 10 years ago when we purchased it. Besides this it is a thrill for us to have it on our site and we do this also because we value our customers and wanted to pass this great opportunity on to our Germania Germanophiles. This is an investment opportunity par excellance!

SS Fife and Drum Parade (Item MOD 1-2)

DESCRIPTION: Again we will say that we are not a site for the sale of non-period items. But now and then something shows up that we can’t resist such as some of the model soldiers and vehicles that are so good as to astound! Such are these pieces seen here. This is a set of miniature figures and a building that is so accurate and dramatic that it is a true art form on its own. What we have here is a scene of an SS Leibstandarte fife and drum corps led by a officer and a drum major marching past the recreated front arcade of the LAH -HQ at Berlin Lichterfelde. There are 17 figures in all to include 8 bandsmen, one drum major, a  standard bearer with Deutschland Erwache Standard, two rifle bearing Guardsmen, and an officer leading the group past a figure of Sepp Dietrch, Reinhard Heydrich and General Karl Wolf and of course we have Adolf Hitler who salutes the assemblage from the balcony of the building. All the figures are manufactured in hand painted metal and the detailing is “superb” (and maybe that word is an understatement!).  They are so unbelievably detailed that you can even read Adolf Hitler on their sleeve bands, believe it or not! This group is awesome! The figures stand about 2 ¾ inches high with the exception of the Standard Bearer with D.E. Standard; that figure is about 5 inches high. The building measures about 9 ½ inches wide and is 11 inches high (very heavy); all in all this is a very beautiful grouping and would augment any good WWII collection nicely. This is prodigiously dramatic in its presentation. We believe that the company who produced these figures has retired the SS HQ LAH building façade and we believe it is practically unattainable today. We will sell this set as a group only. So please do not ask to purchase any of the figures separately.

PRICE: $1,200.00 for entire set. We have only one set !

Helmet for size perspective

Gross Deutschland Soldier Model (Item MOD 1-3)

DESCRIPTION: ACHTUNG! Collectors...Are you ready for this? Here is a resin statue of a Landser of the Grossdeutschland Division of the Deutschen Heers (Wehrmacht) in action against the enemy. At Germania we handle 99% vintage original items but when we attend the military shows now and then an item shows up that we simply cannot resist. This guy was one of those. The details, the great action, the authenticity, is remarkable to say the least, look closely at the pictures provided and you will see what we mean Spectacular!! In one of the pictures accompanying this article we pictured a helmet just to give a perspective of the size! This is a big figure 13 inches high including the base. The measurement does not go to the top of the grenade. (Breathtaking detail!)  An accurate depiction of a soldier of the German army’s elite division. This was the absolute “premier “Army group. They fought bravely against vastly superior odds on all fronts. You can read about them in several places by going into “Google.” Remember however that the victors write the history of the wars. Seldom are they completely truthful about the role of the vanquished! You will never see any model with the detail of this one. We are very proud to offer it to Germania’s customers.

“Hitler in Paris” The Führer Car with his SS Guards and Staff June 23rd 1940(Item MOD 1-4)

DESCRIPTION:As we have said before, Germania International, LLC does not handle reproductions. But now and then we spot something at a military show that strikes our fancy so deeply that we feel it just has to be on our site due to the very nature of the article. When we saw this one we absolutely had to have it. It is a thing of beauty personified! It simply was too good to pass up. It is absolutely incredible! The Hitler Paris Tour Car reproduced in minute detail with the Führer at the Mercedes window-shield and his staff members and SS Guards riding with him as he rides in victory through the Paris streets. The staff included Speer and Giessler (the architects) along with Brecker (the sculptor). The staff were instructed to wear their SS uniforms so that they would fit into the scope of the military framework. There were actually three large Mercedes sedans with Hitler being in the first one. The first stop was the Paris Opera. It was the Führer’s favorite. The rest of the tour is explained on a site known as “Eye Witness to History” in a narrative labeled as Hitler Tours Paris 1940 (www.eyewitnesstohistory.com/ hitlerparis.htm).

It will describe the visit to the Trocadero, the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, and the Invalides containing the tomb of Napoleon. Be sure to read the article as it is well written and quite accurate. The car is also accompanied with two German SS War Reporters who take still shots and movies as well. There is also an SS officer who stands at attention with the “Der Deutschen Gruss” (the salute of Heil Hitler). The Mercedes car is about 8” long and 2” wide. The figures that are standing such as Hitler and the saluting officer stand about 2 ¾ inches high. The words Kriegsberichter (War Reporter) can be clearly read on the sleeve-band of the man with the movie camera. This is the type of incredible detail that is involved with each and every figure in the group. The realism is more than admirable; it is almost uncanny!

Model Hitler Car with -LAH Guards (Item MOD 1-5)

DESCRIPTION:Here is an original set of Hitler’s great Mercedes-Benz W31 type G-4 staff car with six wheels. This is the 1939 model with a larger power plant; vehicles of this model were used by Adolf Hitler and his staff in parades marking the annexation of Austria and the Sudetenland. Thirty cars of this model were built, ending in 1939. The original car was built with nearly 60 units rolling out between 1933 and 1939 of which four are still in existence, today. The model car shown here is also rare and is long sold out by the company that offered it. The figure of Hitler shows him in the brown Kampfzeit uniform as he salutes in the familiar way to the adoring crowds. Driving the car is Hitler’s personal chauffeur, Erich Kempka; and three SS-Leibstandarte guards; and a fourth one, an adjutant, supports an SS sword. The detail is so great that the hilt of the sword is plainly visible as are the LAH sleeve titles on the arms of the guards. The set is accompanied with the original package issue box and is in brand-new condition. We have one only and when sold, it’s gone, and I doubt you will see another. The price of this model when it was available in 2003 was $165.00. It was retired in September 2007, and now, almost 18 years later, it becomes pretty much an unobtainable collectable and is bargain priced.

PRICE: $650.00
