Book Führer, Volk und Tat, Leader, People and Deeds; from book archive of the -Totenkopf Standarte "Oberbayern" (Item AH 9-1)

DESCRIPTION: This is a book chronicling the rising of the Third Reich with text and pictures of the main personages such as the Führer, Göring, Goebbels, Ritter von Epp, President Hindenburg, Huhnlein, Darré, von Schrach, and some of their enemies. The book goes heavily into racial studies and photographic studies of racial types and lists their accomplishments or alternatively their accomplishments and machinations. The history of the First World War is touched upon and the symbols of the then-new party are shown. With 448 pages. It once was from the city library of N.S. books in Duisberg. It was published in 1934 by the Pechstein Verlag in Munich, later, the municipality of Duisberg-Walsum donated it to the -Standarte Totenkopf for their archives and the ex libris card of the SS unit is to be seen in the front of the inside cover. We managed to buy the complete library of this famous SS unit in Bavaria's mountain headquarters for the division. You will see many other very rare titles scattered throughout Germania's pages sections by subject. This book measures 8 ½ x 6 inches and is 1 ½ inches thick. It's a wonderful historic item from all aspects. The cover is intact and not loose, but there is staining on it. It will be assumed that a book cover was applied at some time and it may have been leather. This cover was probably removed and the glue and imprint are still visible stuck to the surface. It remains, however, an important archival find.

Book Strassen und Bauten Adolf Hitlers, Roads and Building of Adolf Hitler from -Totenkopf Library (Item AH 9-2)

DESCRIPTION: This is an interesting book full of illustrations by Third Reich artist Georg Fritz and published by the German Labor Front in Berlin in 1939 with a foreword by the general inspector for the German Highway System, Dr. Ing. Fritz Todt, the man most responsible for building most of what is seen here. The book interestingly is in German and English. It is comprised of 136 pages, 14 of them text, and the rest are wonderful images of what was and was planned to be. No nation had a super highway until Adolf Hitler and Dr. Todt planned and caused the now-famous autobahn to be built. The drawings are plain and simple as was the plain, but elegant, motif of the buildings in the "New Order." This was definitely a very limited edition and was not a volume sold commercially. It was limited to presentation copies for libraries and schools. This copy was found in the archival collection of the -Totenkopf Verband Standarte "Oberbayern" in lower Bavaria. The ex libris card appears inside the front cover. We bought this entire library and there are many more rare titles scattered throughout our Germania pages. Most of them bear the Totenkopf ex libris card. This is very definitely an extremely rare find and very historically important.

Adolf Hitler (Besteck ) Gala Formal Dinner Forks (Item AH 9-3)

DESCRIPTION: Here is one of the very elusive Adolf Hitler (Besteck) gala formal dinner forks. It is a fork in the pattern that Adolf Hitler designed for himself and used at the Reich's chancery and at the Obersalzberg Berghof (see Billy Price’s Hitler, The Unknown Artist). These pieces were by Wellner and bear the crown, moon, and eagle plus the silver designation ‘800.’ This fork is absolutely genuine and the chance that the Führer actually used them in this case would be almost assured since this particular fork came from the above-mentioned Berghof, the Alpine mountain retreat near Bertesgaden. The least amount of them was stored there. These pieces are considered very rare in the collectors’ market today and highly sought after, so this one will not last long at this price. It’s in very fine condition. This is the big one--8 1/2 inches long. Here is your chance to acquire an actual relic from the table of the world’s most powerful man and the man who was the most loved and adored, and the most vehemently hated figure in all of history. We have seen them on other web sites, when they very rarely come up, at twice this price

Adolf Hitler (Besteck) Formal Luncheon Fork (Item AH 9-3a)

DESCRIPTION: Here is an Adolf Hitler luncheon fork from the same set as the dinner fork pictures and explained above at Item AH 9-3. This is exactly the same except that the measurement is 7 1/4 inches long. It has the same moon, crown and eagle stamp along with the silver designation of ‘800.’ This is the formal pattern so sought after by collectors. The condition is near mint and beautiful. These are getting impossible to find. We were lucky enough to find three of them, but they won’t last long on our site. They are in beautiful condition and as I have pointed out elsewhere on this page you just don’t see them anymore at the German or even the U.S. shows. They have “gone with the wind,” or so it would seem. These are definitely from the Berghof, Hitler’s mountain retreat. Looters from the 101st Airborne Division were usually the ones to procure most of these items. This pattern can be seen on page 7 of Mark D. Griffith’s book Collectors Guide to “Liberated” Adolf Hitler Memorabilia.

PRICE: $1,400.00; each (excellent +)

Dinner Knife in Formal Pattern from the Flatware Set of Adolf Hitler (Item AH 9-3b)

DESCRIPTION: This is one of the formal dinner pieces (Besteck) that we were able to procure from a collection in Germany. This was a large collection of flatware from various military, political, and personality pieces. Among these pieces were just a few original flatware personally owned by Adolf Hitler. This is a fine dinner-sized table knife in formal pattern with the familiar Greek key design. See further description of this at Item AH 9-3 above on this page. The most desirable, thus the most elusive of all the AH “Besteck,” is this knife, which measures 10 inches long. Please read all of the narratives we have written on this page so that you will have a better understanding of these very important pieces and their investment potential. When we say that the values will skyrocket, you can be assured that they already have. Whenever one is found, the sellers invariable ask much more than we do because of the obvious scarcity and historical importance involved here. This knife is in excellent condition and it bears the moon, crown, eagle, and ‘800’ silver designation where the blade meets the silver grip.

PRICE:  TRADED. NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

Adolf Hitler Table Napkin from the Berghof (Item AH 9-3e)

DESCRIPTION: Here is one of the napkins from the dinner service at the Berghof, Hitler’s mountain retreat in the Obersaltzberg high above the Bavarian town of Bertesgaden. This is the style shown in the book Collectors Guide to “Liberated” Adolf Hitler Memorabilia by Mark D. Griffith, M.D. On page 26 he identifies it as the formal pattern, white with a floral ribbon design running through the fabric. This is one of the large formal dinner napkins and measures 25 inches square. It has the embroidered Nazi eagle peculiar only to Adolf Hitler linens with the “AH” flanking each side of the swastika. The napkins are far scarcer than the silverware for some reason, and we have had very few to date. The condition is very good; a bit soiled, but not stained. Any collector of WWII memorabilia would do very well to latch on to this one. The price will soon soar on AH items (friendly tip).

Book Hitler wie ihn Keiner Kennt, Hitler as Nobody Knows Him (Item AH 9-5)

DESCRIPTION: This is a Heinrich Hoffmann book with a foreword by Balder von Schirach, the Reichsjugendführer (youth leader) produced officially by the Bruckmann K.G. archival center in Munich. The book is in fine shape except for a tiny tear here and there on the dust cover. This is a soft-cover book loaded with great pictures of the German leader and his closest associates at work, at recreation, visiting his mountains, reviewing his SA troopers. There are pictures of his childhood, war service, early struggles and victories, etc. The pictures are of the usual H. Hoffmann pristine clarity and fineness. There are about 52 double-sided picture pages and text by Schirach. This truly is one of the best all-around pictorials of the intimate and human perspective of the man, Adolf Hitler. Book measures 16 x 7 ½ inches.

Book Hitler Germany in English by Cesare Santoro (Item AH 9-7)

DESCRIPTION: This is a book that lauds high praise on Nazi Germany. It is a big 431-page book. This book was written by C. Santoro, a world news correspondent, and printed in 1939 in English. It was published by the International Verlag in Berlin. The first part of the book is text where the “New Order” is highly praised. It goes into what Hitler and the National Socialists accomplished in their first years and how Germany’s existence was vastly improved since the election sweeping the Nazi’s to power in 1933. The back part of the book contains many pages of pictures (great pictures) many of them by Hitler’s personal photographer, Heinrich Hoffman. These photos depict the efficient system and the beauty of the pageantry of the NSDAP. It is certainly the most comprehensive book in English to exist. It goes deeply into the whole infrastructure of Nazi Germany. It depicts resolutely the vibrant economy of the state. The political organizations within the party are detailed in words and pictures: the RAD, the SA, Luftwaffe, the Army, and German Navy are shown. The status of women in the Third Reich, the youth, and redefined education resources are covered both in text and photographs. Every social program is covered; racial issues are naturally addressed. Here for the first time in most of our lives we will witness as Paul Harvey likes to say: “The rest of the story.” This is practically the only book of its kind in the English language. It measure 7 x 9 inches and is 1 ¾ inches thick. It is in extremely fine condition and is also extremely rare. One other of this book was recently being offered out west for $575.00.

Set of Tea Spoons having belonged to Eva Braun (Item AH 9-8)

DESCRIPTION: This set of six lovely spoons in ‘800’ silver once belonged to Adolf Hitler’s mistress and eventually wife, Eva Braun. The set is complete with service for six. We do know there was another case with six more, but we were unable to procure that one, but we do have some of the loose spoons from the set. At this time, however, we offer this magnificent cased set. The silver marks indicate that the set may have been produced by Wellner; however, they were sold by W. Böttler and the label on the top-inside of the box says that this was a firm that worked on gold and silver objects (Silberarbeiter): Arbeiter means ‘worker.’ So, although Böttler did not produce the spoons, it is fairly obvious that they did the engraving. The ‘EB’ is hand engraved on each piece. This was traditional on this type of flatware. An example would be the picture frames and boxes that A. Hitler would order. He always had the Greek key design hand engraved. Böttler was located in the charming medieval village of Rothenburg am Tauber. We know that Eva often journeyed to this beautiful little village, especially at Christmastime, because the town’s Christmas market was the best in Germany (other than Nuremberg) and certainly the coziest of all. Many small, but elegant shops handled some of the finest jewelry and gold and silver items, and undoubtedly, this is where she bought these and commissioned them to be engraved. They are in beautiful pristine condition and the top of the case has the special ‘EB’ that she herself designed and often had added to items for her personal collection. The ‘EB’ is in fine silver, also, and finely enameled. There must have been a circular design of some kind around the letters, but this is gone. We do not believe it was silver or even metallic. It was more likely paper or cardboard and probably floral in design or it may have been a separately affixed design that matched the border leaf design of the case. Here is an opportunity to own an actual memento of this lovely German Fraulein, who loved so faithfully and, unfortunately, so tragically. This is truly a great opportunity to own a great piece of the history of the turbulent era.
