Book Hitler in Italien; 126 Bilder (126 pictures) (Item AH 12-3; I-FAS 1-15)

DESCRIPTION: This is a Heinrich Hoffmann exclusive work. He was the personal photographer of the Führer Reichsbilderichterstatter. There is a foreword by Dr. Otto Dietrich (Reich’s Press Chief). Except for four pages of text that chronicle the monumental visit, the whole book is made up of absolutely great pictures: the greeting to the Führer and his entourage, the adoration of the Italian people, the review of troops by the Führer and Il Duce, ancient Roman architecture, the Coliseum, etc., make this a fabulous volume important to the study of the turbulent and glorious era. It comprises 96 pages and measures 7 ½ x 10 ½ inches. The pictures are clear and sharp. The condition is great. Inside the front cover is the stamped wordage (Nachlass Adolf Hitler which probably means that this book was in the property of the Reich Adolf Hitler schools.

Fantastic Period Portrait of Adolf Hitler (Item AH 12-4; ART 7-5)

DESCRIPTION: This practically is a masterpiece that was painted in oil in 1941. The colors and artist’s style is magnificent. Here is something of an official state portrait obviously by the hand of a very professional artist, possibly of some renown. All we could find was a listing in Davenport’s Art Reference Guide referring to a Heinrich Fischer, 19th Century, German landscapes, figures. If he painted in the 1890’s, for instance in 1899, he may have painted this prestigious subject some 40 years later, probably when he was in his 60’s or even in his 80’s. We feel strongly that “H. Fischer” that is signed on this work of art will be none other than this artist. In any case, the fact remains that this is no amateur rendering. It depicts the German Führer in his early brown uniform with eagle stickpin, Iron Cross 1st Class, and Wound Badge. The usage of detailed intricate touches on belt buckle, belt fittings, etc., show mastery of the brush. The face of the Führer reflects power and intellect. The usage of foliage down the right side reflects the Hitlarian love of nature. The mountains in the background, of course, represent the Bavarian Alps that he loved so much. The well-used greatcoat that seemed to be constantly worn is depicted with realistic wrinkles. But most of all, immediately noticed are the eyes. Those eyes that so many associates and visitors insisted were hypnotic. We have seen other artists’ renderings of this astounding and phenomenal man, but very few have ever quite captured the stare, the visage, the magnetism of those eyes. The painting is possibly one of the finest ever produced in the Third Reich of the Chancellor and Führer. We mentioned the wrinkles on the overcoat. Now look at a simple small detail. I direct you to the belt. Now look at the creases the belt makes in the tunic because of its tightening. There are few artists that would even take notice of this let alone portray it so prodigiously well. Here is a painting that may never be called a masterpiece, but none-the-less it is definitely important and could easily be said to be excellent plus-plus. It probably hung in some important NSDAP building. The condition is good for a painting that came from war-torn Europe, while escaping defacement and defilement by the conquering allied heroes. So many Hitler portraits ended up slashed with bayonets or shot up with .45’s. It is in a great portrait size. The picture in its frame measures 46 inches x 35 inches. It has been restretched at some point and remounted. The frame possibly is not the original because usually paintings like this were taken from their original frames, rolled up, and secretly stored away. The frame, however, may be an original 1930’s or 1940’s piece. From the general look of it, we have had the rare opportunity to see the German collection at the U.S. Air Force installation Colorado, and the hidden fantastic paintings that were returned to Germany by the U.S. back in the early 1990’s. These are stored at a certain German university museum whose name and location cannot presently be disclosed. We will say that of all the Führer portraits that are in the depositories none are any better than this masterful work by Herr Fischer. Here is one of the finest art articles of NSDAP history probably ever offered in this country, since the end of World War II.

Hitler Cuban Cigars (yes), Cuban Cigars!!! (Item AH 12-5)

DESCRIPTION: Yes, you read it right, two cigars from 1930’s Cuba. The Cubans have always been pro German and when Adolf Hitler became Chancellor of the German Reich in 1933, posters, postcards, prints of his face, books, magazines, and knick-knacks were seen to flood the stalls and stores in Havana and other Cuban cities, and, naturally, the main Cuban product, cigars, had to bear a label with the visage of the European leader they venerated most. So, we offer two genuine Hitler cigars in their original wrappers. They must be 65 years or so old, but are still incredibly intact. Certainly this would be considered some of the most incredibly rare Hitler memorabilia ever offered and the connotations of Latin adoration of the Führer is unquestionable and resolute in the embodiment of such items as these. they are about 4 ½ inches long each. One is with a band showing the bust portrait of the Führer and on the sides of the band the cigar company name Flor-Cuba. The other has the wreathed swastika and the company marks, as well. Here is one of the most unique Germania offerings yet!

Hitler Cigar Band from Cuba (Item AH 12-6)

DESCRIPTION: Here is a great Adolf Hitler item from 1930’s Cuba. In item AH 12-5 we described two actual Hitler cigars from the island that revered Germany and its leader. Here we present a very colorful cigar band from Cuba with a photo portrait of his face beautifully portrayed with green and gold trim. Also see the Mussolini band at Item Axis 5-11. This Hitler band is 2 ½ inches long and the portrait itself is a little over an inch high. The collector who has consigned it had it mounted and framed with a very professionally matted mounting. It is in immaculate condition and like the cigars would be considered very rare, indeed.

New Miniature 1937 Mercedes Touring Car of Adolf Hitler (Item AH 12-9)

DESCRIPTION: This is so incredible that we just had to include it even though it’s a new item. We at Germania always handle only genuine items, but this item is so very special that we just had to include it because so many people had asked for the original Mercedes set as seen above. This antique set was absolutely great, but believe it or not, this set is beyond great! It is accurate right down to the readable cuff titles on the SS men’s sleeves. The detail work is astounding, to say the least. We did not want to deprive any collector of the chance to acquire and item like this. It was made in limited issue according to the consigner and he says that the vehicle shown is the gray instead of black car and according to him this would have been the one used in Hitler’s triumphal entry into Austria during the Anschluss. The license plate shows that it is registered to the Liebstandarte-SS and not to the NSDAP as the black ones were. Various period pictures show the gray one in a Vienna parade commemorating this historic event. We cannot say enough about the detail. The pictures do not even quite do it justice. It is wonderful to have one of the $3,500 originals if you could find one, but to set this one on your desk or shelf certainly might fill the bill. It would for me, and I’m not easy to please.

PRICE:$650.00; Only one left, and it's a very excellent investment at the moment.

Book Adolf Hitler (Item AH 12-10)

DESCRIPTION: This is the Cigaretten Bilderdienst book published by Alton Bahrenfeld. This means Cigarette Picture Service. It came in a variety of cover colors, but the usual is orange. The purpose of the book was to assemble and present pictures that were glued on the pages to tell the story of the German Führer’s life and ascension to power in the Third Reich. the pictures were offered by the cigarette company and to get a packet of them for your album or book you would find coupons in your pack of cigarettes and you would send them in and the company would provide you-free of charge-a very nicely packaged envelope of these pictures and then you would glue them into the book. At least these cigarette companies provided you with something more than cancer and emphysema. The books, when found by the unknowing, are often thought to be Adolf Hitler’s personal album and I have seen people asking as much as $10,000 for a copy and one Mr. M. Silverstein in N.Y. thought he should get $25,000 for his book. Such a deal! The books are quite nice, but they were issued by the millions in the 1930’s. It consists of 133 pages with hundreds of glossy black-and-white pictures by Heinrich Hoffmann, Hitler’s personal photographer. There are wonderful pictorials depicting the NSDAP, SS, SA, many Nazi personalities, ceremonies, architecture, Wehrmacht, etc. It really is the all-around best book on the era for general information and photographic clarity. It is masterpiece of literary and photographic history. It was a series, but the others that followed did not have the same cover or look. This was numbered “13,” while others in the cigarette-card series usually did not have numbers. Deutschland Erwache is the other most common one, but also very nicely done. This is considered the ultimate Nazi volume of history.

Book Adolf Hitler (Item AH 12-11)

DESCRIPTION: This is a book from the library of the SS-Totenkopf Verband “Oberbayern”. Most of the books that we managed to procure from this archival grouping were in very fine condition. This one, unfortunately, is the sad exception. This was the deluxe edition of the Heinrich Hoffmann book with special cover. The normal one is with paperback cover. The book we must say is in very distressed condition with parts of the cover torn up and some of the pages warped and stained. Fortunately, the great preponderance of the pictures are in good shape. The foreword to the edition was written by Balder von Schirach, the Hitler Youth leader. More than 160 great pictures in the best of Hoffmann photographic genius adorn the pages and the ex libris card of the Totenkopf Standarte “Oberbayern” is in the front cover. Regardless of its unfortunate condition this is an important piece of genuine Third Reich history. In good condition this book is about a $250 edition, easily. We offer it for less.
