DESCRIPTION: Here in great condition is a wonderful German Imperial period songbook with the title O Deutschland hoch in Ehren (Oh Germany, High in Honor) Subtitled “The Favorite Soldiers’ Songs for Cavaliers.” It has eight pages chock full of great songs that were beloved of Germany’s WWI fighting men such as “Abschied,” “Reiters Morgenlied,” “Morgen Marschieren wir,” “Der Gute Kamerad,” “Heil Dir Im Siegerkranz,” “Die Wacht am Rhein,” “Deutschland, Deutschland Über Alles,” and many more. This is the finest condition WWI songbook we have ever seen. It is in the large format 8 x 19 ½ inches. It’s a real treasure and very historically important. One small bit of surface at the bottom spine is tattered; maybe about an inch or so, otherwise, grade 99-percent fine.

DESCRIPTION: Here are two small, German soldier songbooks in size 5 ½ x 4 1/2 inches. They each have about 70 to 80 pages chock full of the German army’s favorite marching songs such as ”Seemans Lied,” “Frankreichlied,” “Wir Fahren Gegen England,” “Die Ganze Kompanie,” “Alpenjagerlied.” Each book has different songs; one of the books (the one with 70 pages) is in practically perfect condition where the other one has come loose of its cover, but a former owner has made a plastic cover that has been slipped over the original cover for protection and the whole thing is hanging together nicely. We will price this with the value of the one in great shape and the other will be a bonus.

DESCRIPTION: Here is a large 9 x 12-inch format songbook that is comprised of 64 pages and is in practically mint condition. Great songs and musical scores fill the pages of this wonderful volume. Songs such as ”Wir Fahren Gegen England,” “The Frankreichlied,” “Bomben auf England,” “Die Ganze Kompanie,” “Immer wenn Soldaten Singen,” “Seemanslied,” fill the pages along with many other Wehrmacht favorites to include, of course, ”Die Wacht Am Rhein.” We have never seen a songbook so complete with all the best of the marches and songs.

DESCRIPTION: Here is a very nice little German army songbook in size 4 x 5 ¾ inches. It is absolutely full of some of the favorite songs of the German military. It has a green cover picturing singing soldiers and comprises pages with such favorites as “Wenn die Soldaten, Denn wir Fahren Gegen England, Deutschlandlied, Horst Wessel Lied, Matrosenlied, Drei Lilein, Reiterlieder, Mogen Marschiern, Ich Hatt Eiven Kameraden,“ and many more. The staples that hold the book to the cover actually rusted away, but the inner book is contained within the cover and holding well with all pages intact. This is a very important historical relic commemorating the attempt of these brave singing soldiers to prevent the forces of Bolshevism from taking over their European homeland.

DESCRIPTION: (Translates to the The New Soldier’s Songbook.) Orange cover is similar to a large version that we offered, but this one is the mint version measuring 4 x 5 ¾ inches and has about 80 pages full of the most popular Wehrmacht marching songs with the musical scores as well. Songs such as ”Hannelore, Droben In Oberland, Die Jager in den Grunen wald, Flame Empor, Lebe Wohl du Kleine Monica,” and dozens of other favorites of Germany’s fighting men on the march to save Europe from the beasts of Bolshevism. This one is in very fine condition throughout.
