Matching Busts of the Kaiser and Kaiseren (Item WILHELM 5-2; KSTATUE 3-4)

DESCRIPTION: Here in quiet splendor are the official busts of Kaiser Wilhelm II and his beloved wife, Kaiseren Augusta Victoria. These are very artistically accomplished in the art form of the late 19th century. They are crafted in spalta, or white metal. The one of the Kaiser is signed by Uhlmann, who undoubtedly is the artist on the Kaiseren as well. They measure about 12 inches high to include 4 ½-inch bases. The details of the emperor’s medals and uniform are spectacular. The Order of the Prussian Black Eagle especially stands out. The jewels of the Kaiseren and the wonderful floral bodice are wonderfully eloquent, as well. Here are a pair of absolutely wonderful images of the Royal Hohenzollern family. The condition is great throughout and to find a matching pair of these great historically important items together is very, very rare.

Tapestry from the Doorn Haus (Item WILHELM 5-3)

DESCRIPTION: Here is a tapestry right from the Kaiser’s exile house at Doorn, Holland. (see an identical one in the book about the Doorn residence, Der Letzte Kaiser Wilhelm II in Exil on page 254. It gives Robert Hahn as the artist. The portrait depicts the emperor as a General of the Infantry. The article says that a few such tapestries were presented to oriental potentates as guest gifts. This measures 38 ½ x 28 inches (big). The colors are still quite vibrant. It’s dated 1911. The medals and orders he wears in this depiction are quite clear and detailed. Depicted are:
1. The Order of the Black Eagle of Prussia (chained) and star.
2. Chain and star of the Hohenzollern House Order
3. The Johanniter Order
4. The Medal of the Catholic Mariner, German Knight’s Order
5. Others.
This is an extremely important Imperial antiquity that is also quite beautiful, as well.

Kaiser Wilhelm II Framed Original Print (Item WILHELM 5-4)

DESCRIPTION: Here we see Wilhelm II in the uniform of an admiral of the German Imperial Navy. Resplendent with his medals and orders he strikes a noble pose while clutching his mariner’s telescope. The print has been professionally matted and framed. There is a signature in the right-hand bottom of the photograph. This is a dubbed picture as far as the color goes. A very nice addition to any fine Imperial or WWI collection. The print is 7 x 9 ½ inches, while the whole thing with frame is 13 ¼ x 15 ½ inches. This is an expensive first-quality framing job; genuine wooden frame with Victorian-era design motif.
