Set of Six Wonderful Busts of the Hohenzollern Family and two Busts of the Most Important Personages of the German Imperial Reich (Item BRONZEMET 3-20)

| DESCRIPTION: Here in perfect condition are six bust representations of four members of the House of Hohenzollern and the two most important men of the “German Century.” All of these men and the royal lady were famous in their own right and they shine brilliantly in the annals of historic royalty. To write a biography of each of them would be a challenging task and I would be writing another book to add to the thousands already out there chronicling the lives of these great people. Enough to say that this set was obviously so cherished by some person who cared for them very much and probably originally purchased them at some top-grade art retailor as late as 1912 or, more probably, much earlier. Each figure measures about seven inches high including the black-onyx plinths that stand about three inches high. They are crafted in white-metal construction and silver plated. All are in what must be called mint condition without the slightest damage to figures or plinths. The detailing is fantastic bringing them to a radiant, lifelike appearance. To find them in a set like this I would deem to be otherwise quite impossible but as fate would have it they had been in the stewardship of a collector who respected them and cared for them—I know you will do the same. They actually are “priceless” with a price! I will hate to see them go.
