About Military Forums
Here, in the pictures above, are our perceptions of many of these so-called experts. The picture at the top, we have been told, is a pretty-good likeness of the chief moderator of one of the most blatantly slanderous of what he has allowed to exist as a “defamation den.” Not all the contributors are such as this, but interspersed among them are examples that would be identifiable as looking like and acting like the two examples shown here and the fellow that you can see at the end of this blog. Unfortunately, there are a lot of these X-Spurts out there, and, unfortunately, a lot of true-and-tested authorities often fall into these abominable gossip cells, while only trying to be of genuine help to the relic-collecting field, but others that personify the images you see here are nothing but mental midgets and, YES, craven cowards! (X-spurts). ‘X,’ as we know, is the unknown factor in algebra, while ‘spurt’ is the noise a drip makes when it is under pressure in other terminology. These people are, for a great part, armchair warriors, who cast aspersions on their betters for reasons of jealousy, avarice, and undeserved self-glorification. They have attacked most of the established and reputable dealers in the business hoping, like in the memorable film, Song of the South, that the Tar Baby will stick! But most serious collectors know the real reasons that these sowers of dissention do what they do. The stupidity of some of these people is legion, and they remind me of a pack of chimps hooting and gibbering, leaping up and down, knuckles banging the ground at feeding time! As we have stated, there are some decent and well-known people on some of the forums, but, unfortunately, there are few and when they make their feelings and true expertise known, they are usually banned from these moronic chit-chats. We at Germania International will always honor our customers and see to their needs. We will listen to legitimate complaints and honor our written commitments, but, if we see that our customer has come to us because forum “x-spurts” have made untrue and detrimental statements about a listed item, then I will assure you that we will not be intimidated or moved unless we know the advisor to be an honorable person who probably has fallen into disgrace by his participation in one of these non-thinking tanks. As to the “x-spurts,” what is it about
cyber defamation and
sysop liability that you don’t understand?
"Yeah, I'm one of da X-spurts; just aks me."
Sometimes, the reasonable caveat to a gang of malfeasant, cowardly morons becomes futile, and then it becomes necessary to resort to other—more convincing and forceful—means of defense against this cyber underworld. We do not choose to engage this enemy in any untoward initiatives, but we refuse to waive any rights available to us. Unlike many of the other victims of these abuse sites, we are cognizant of the law and will be found to be most aggressive in its use.
Here is another man’s opinion of some of these malignant prevaricators, these cowards, these scumbags, by someone who is right on target in his descriptions. He says he has a forum as well and I wish him luck with it since he is obviously aware of the deeds of these bastards who need to have their mouths washed out with soap. Read on.
A small but very angry group of military collectors have recently taken great offense at our description of trolls. By ‘troll’ is means the nasty, petty-minded twits that infest the forums for collectors, attempting to shove their worthless opinions down the throats of respectable collectors, criticizing everything in sight, insulting other collectors, and in general, displaying an appalling ignorance of the collecting world. In the main, the trolls have no money and so take a leaf from the Aesop fable about the fox and grapes and claim that items they could not afford to pay even the postage on are obviously fake. Having seen what passes for a troll collection in the past, it is realistic to state that their own pathetic assemblages are mostly comprised of broken, misattributed or entirely fake items. Crooked dealers are quite bad enough and their transparent use of forums to boost their latest fakes (“Just got this jewel from a vet…” and “Some lucky collector gets to buy my gold Mother’s Medal with Oakleaves and Diamonds for only $35,000! And yes, this one did come from Schloss Klessheim!”) Troll postings are also only semi-literate and very short in length because most trolls are only semi-literate and reading anything longer than the back of a cereal box gives them headaches and eyestrain. Our forum has been set up specifically to keep out the trolls in the same sense as farmers putting up fences around their truck gardens to keep the pigs out. And then we have the pseudo-expert who claims to have been a genuine “war hero” and as such, above the rest of the collecting world. Unfortunately for them, military records are not secret so someone who says they were a top man in special forces and decorated by the President himself were almost always supply sergeants who were invalided out of service with severe hemorrhoid problems. (Of the sort George W. Bush had and for the same unprintable reasons.) A collecting forum ought to be a pleasant gathering place for serious collectors, not a playground for gap-jawed trolls and dealers trying frantically to authenticate and sell the pride of Pakistan (or Poland).
The Roman senator and historian, Tacitus (c. AD 56-after 117), had high praise for the early Germanic Teutonic peoples and especially their warriors.
Old World Teuton
I am a child of the sun, Grian. Upon my hair and my face, sunlight is found. I am clean, clear of voice, and bright of countenance. I fear not color. I fear not song. Dance is in my step and when unseen, within my heart. My hand is firm and steady. My eye keen and sharp. My mind thinks of excellence, craftsmanship, and justice. I am a keeper of my brother's natural rights. I am mindful of ineptitude, careful of the fragile, and supportive of those in need. I am a shield wall before evil and a soft rain nourishing creation. I am an indomitable freeman, not slave.
You will not find me as a mindless follower. You will not particularly find me in the halls of religion. I am as much a leader on the field of soul enrichment as I am a leader on a field of battle. I will not be found abiding tyranny, or inequitable social engineering. My mate is my partner, and my neighbor my brother, and the stranger on the street a valued guest at my door. My woman does not walk any steps behind. I am kind and gentle with the least creature of this world and yet a firestorm in conflict. I am the ripple in the lake and the poised boulder upon the cliff. I am as comfortable alone in the forest as I am among the crowd in the hall. I am confident in myself for I am wise with moderation, full of thought, quick of question, generous of courtesy, a force to be reckoned with in partnership with truth . . .
As an Old World Teuton I have deep reverence of my ancestors and respect for yours. I will carefully consider the wisdom of the past before I relegate anything to the trash. I will preserve history whether it is mine or not; whether it is palatable or not. I will teach the young at every opportunity and exchange stories and ideas with my peers. The elders are my treasures, not old hats to be shoved in a corner of society and forgotten. I keep my nature impeccably clean and honest, same as I do my mouth and my hand. Upon my sword regardless of kind is written these words: I defend life and liberty. Take issue with this if you will, but be advised that I will respect your opinion as long as it is respectful of mine. Should you try to defame me or mine for reasons of jealousy or simple malevolence then look for and mind the “whirlwind.” I assure you it comes on the wings of eagles.
